La obra de Francisca Feurhake se centra en la experiencia femenina y su vínculo con los espacios domésticos, sociales y religiosos. A través de imágenes que evocan escenas íntimas y colectivas —mujeres, niñas, guaguas y muñecas reunidas en actos cotidianos o rituales—, explora los lazos entre mujeres y los roles que asumen a lo largo de sus vidas. La fe religiosa, presente como luz, bruma o fuerza intangible, actúa como un elemento simbólico que atraviesa su trabajo, invitando al espectador a una experiencia sensorial y emocional. La indumentaria, los objetos y el mobiliario funcionan como dispositivos narrativos que configuran identidades femeninas en constante transformación. Feurhake construye escenas donde lo espiritual y lo cotidiano conviven, proponiendo una mirada crítica y poética sobre cómo las mujeres habitan y son habitadas por los espacios que transitan, desde lo visible hasta lo velado.Francisca Feurhake’s work focuses on the female experience and its connection to domestic, social, and religious spaces. Through images that evoke both intimate and collective scenes—women, girls, babies, and dolls gathered in everyday or ritualistic acts—she explores the bonds between women and the roles they take on throughout their lives. Religious faith, present as light, mist, or an intangible force, acts as a symbolic element that runs through her work, inviting the viewer into a sensory and emotional experience. Clothing, objects, and furniture function as narrative devices that shape feminine identities in constant transformation. Feurhake constructs scenes where the spiritual and the everyday coexist, offering a critical and poetic perspective on how women inhabit—and are inhabited by—the spaces they move through, from the visible to the veiled.
